EDA Consortium 2013 Export Seminar

EDA Consortium Export Seminar
EDA Consortium, San Jose, CA, September 18, 2013

All exports from the United States of EDA software and services are controlled under the Export Administration Regulations, administered by the U.S. Department of Commerce's Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS). You need to understand these regulations. Failure to comply can result in severe penalties including imprisonment. Many smaller companies do not have the resources to track these complex and ever changing sets of export regulations, but ignorance of the laws is not an excuse. Non-compliance can be costly!

As a benefit of EDAC membership, the EDAC Export Committee has teamed up with the Emerging Companies Committee to bring you an informative seminar on US export regulations. Larry Disenhof, Cadence’s Group Director, Export Compliance and Government Relations and the chairman of the EDAC Export Committee is an expert in export regulations and shared his knowledge of the current state of US export regulations. In this seminar, Larry covered the basics as well as best practices.

Prior to watching the seminar video, viewing the on-line export overview presentation, which includes an overview of the key export issues and terminology, is strongly recommended. (Login required. If you do not have an EDAC web site user ID, employees of member companies* can create one here.)
