My name is Alex Shubat, the President, CEO and Co-Founder of Virage Logic Corporation. I am a 25-year veteran of the Semiconductor Industry, but more importantly, I have been a part of the Semi Industry ecosystem. For the first 10 years of my career as a chip designer, I was an EDA customer and user – so I value what EDA brings to the market.
Virage Logic is a leading IP provider and an important part of the Semi Industry ecosystem. We work closely with our EDA, IP, Foundry and Design Services partners as contributors and partners to the success of the ecosystem. And we all have the same common goal – to take a more substantial portion of the total Semi Industry market; striving to grow disproportionately to the Semi Industry’s growth.
I am personally very proud of my accomplishments at Virage Logic. I took the helm of the company during one of the toughest Semi Industry downturns, but the company has come out ahead and recently announced 100% growth in revenue due to organic product development and inorganic growth via key acquisitions.
I understand our market space very well – we are in a transformation period, and I am willing to help contribute to the success of the industry and to EDAC as a pro-active Board Member.
